Archery

Students came from Mesa View, Mt. Taylor, Milan, and Los Alamitos Middle School dressed up in their Halloween costume to compete in the Monster Mash Archery Bash Tournament held at Milan elementary school. This event promoted the National Archery in the Schools Programs within our school district and with the help of Bruce Atencio, who is the Archery Education Coordinator for the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. The National Archery in the Schools Program consists of target archery where archers shoot at a bull's-eye target to score points.

The National Archery in the Schools Program is a great sport that kids from fourth grade to high school would enjoy. Archery provides a fun challenge to kids while teaching attention to detail, focus, discipline and teamwork to the youth. The New Mexico NASP State Championship will be February 25, 2023 LIVE and In-Person at Albuquerque Convention Center. The goal is to prepare our students to attend this wonderful event and double our participants each year.
